Britannia, a warrior holding a trident and a shield, is the embodiment of the United Kingdom. She adorns the reverse side of its title coin, with a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse, linking the nation's long history with the longest-reigning monarch of the United Kingdom.
The Britannia coin has numerous features that help telling the authentic ones from counterfeits. The surface of the coin changes hologram-like depending on the viewing angle, and the lines etched into the surface seem to create a wave-like movement on the surface of the coin.
The Britannia coin is investment grade gold and is therefore exempt from VAT.
